Finding Freedom aims to equip Biblical counselors, prayer ministers and churches to understand and help survivors of ritual abuse and mind control to heal. This manual incorporates both spiritual and developmental perspectives, integrating knowledge from Christian and secular understandings of the human heart and mind in order to offer readers strengths and insights from both fields. Finding Freedom contains chapters that address questions such as: Does ritual abuse and mind control really exist? Can a survivor trust his or her memories? What is dissociation and how is it healed? What is programming and how is it healed? Why does it take so long to heal? Is it even possible to heal? What does it take to heal? Can deliverance ministry help? How do we help a survivor heal from ritual abuse? These questions and many more from survivors and their helpers over the past three decades are addressed in this manual. CARE, Inc. has over 30 years of work with survivors and interactions with their supporters, churches, prayer ministers, counselors and therapists, including maintaining a healing community for over two decades.
